Backyard weddings have a magical way of touching the soul. Set against the most splendid natural setting, the intimate (and breaktaking) nuptials of Brooke and Brad boasted countless warm and fuzzy family moments and rustic goodness in every direction. The combination of bright yellow floral details with laid back eclectic seating, and (super impressive) DIY artistic touches by the bride, created a welcoming materpiece of backyard wedding perfection!

Oh, and did we mention the cinema screen? The bride and groom made films for eachother that completely swept us up. We're only scratching the surface here, so settle in Rockstars - these images by Courtney Lindberg Photography are beyond swoon-worthy.

This gorgeous affair proves that even when mother nature pulls a fast one on you on your wedding day, you can still pull off a to-die-for-pretty soiree. Ben and Andrea didn't just get some lucky showers on their big day - they got a full blown hurricane! The best part is that you wouldn't even be able to tell a drop fell based off the stunning photos captured by the super talented Laurie of Bee Photographie. 

Wind and rain aside, this wedding had us grinning from ear to ear with its laid back meets elegant mansion vibe, seriously sweet DIY details by the bride, and beyond beautiful natural color scheme.

Whether you're looking for a cocktail to toast a special occasion, complement a festive brunch, or set the tone for your wedding reception - a signature cocktail is one of those small, special details that can propel your event from good to great.

With all the delicious concoctions out there, you may ask yourself, "Self, how do I choose the right one for my event?" There are several ways to make your cocktail work for you. Pick something that matches your color scheme, honors the heritage of the guest(s) of honor, or enhances the overall theme of the event. By creating something unique for your guests to sip, you're givig them yet another memory to associate with your event, making the experience more memorable. 

A bonus for the budget-conscious: save big on the bar tab by offering beer, wine and a signature cocktail, rather than a full bar. Doing so will also allow your bartender to get drinks over the bar quicker for your thirsty guests.

Jenn + Bobby's Peanut Island Boathouse wedding reception was cool, fresh, and as lovely as can be. Filled to the brim with cheery goodness, including a sunny yellow and blue color palatte, some fabulous flowers, and one seriously stunning view - it was the perfect combination of maritime chic meets elegant fete. 

Our favorite part? A Champagne-soaked Cocktail Hour in the Kennedy Bunker - an underground fallout shelter built in1961. Or maybe it was the Oyster Shooter ice luge...? Bubbly and shelfish aside, this soiree was deliciously unique, and the images capured by Michelle Morales Photography...PERFECTION.
